minutesThese sliders are juicy, sweet, sticky, spicy, and a lot of fun to eat! Perfect as a starter, light meal, or in tapas, sliders are quick and easy to make, and the flavour combinations are endless.
We have used Wild West Gourmet's Fragrant Seasoning in the patties, coupled with Worcester Sauce flavour. Complementing the richness of the lamb, we’ve used Kūmara and Banana Chutney. Balancing it all out is a creamy garlic yoghurt.
Ingredients
8 slider buns, or four hamburger buns
400gm lamb mince
3t Wild West Gourmet Fragrant Seasoning
1 egg
1/2t salt
Pepper to taste
1/2C plain Greek yoghurt
1/2t garlic powder
8 slices of ripe tomato
Handful of baby spinach leaves, stalks trimmed off
8t Wild West Gourmet Kūmara and Banana Chutney
Directions
- Combine the lamb, Fragrant Seasoning, Worcester Sauce, salt, and egg. Mix well until it resembles a dough
- Mix the yoghurt and garlic powder together
- Set the lamb and the yoghurt mix aside in the fridge for at least half an hour, but the longer the better!
- Prepare the tomato slices and spinach leaves, and set them into eight small piles (four if making burgers)
- Warm the buns in the oven until just warmed through
- Shape the lamb into eight patties (or four for burgers)
- Cook the patties at a medium heat for five minutes on each side
- Assemble the sliders (or burgers!) by spreading the Kūmara and Banana Chutney on the bottom bun, followed by the spinach
- Top with the pattie and the tomato, and a dollop of the garlic yoghurt
- Add the top bun, and then hold in place with a skewer to serve
Notes
- Tip! Rather than using chilli for heat in these patties, you can use our Hot Chilli or Ghost Pepper Worcester Sauces. For a no heat option, go for our Original Spicy Sweet Worcester Sauce, whilst Hot Chilli gives a medium heat, and Ghost Pepper the top temp!
